Farrell, Warren, and Gray, John, The Boy Crisis: Why Our Boys are Struggling and What We Can Do About It (2018), BenBella Books, Dallas. An extensive analysis of the social and psychological pressures on boys in our culture.

Morgan, Robert J. Prayers and Promises for Worried Parents: Hope for Your Prodigal. Help for You (2005), Howard Books. The most encouraging book ever written for parents of prodigal children.

Moyers, Robert Cope. Broken: My Story of Addiction and Redemption. (2006) Penguin Books. The gripping memoir of a privileged son and his battle with, and victory over, addiction. My prodigal son describes this as the most “real” book about addiction he has ever read.

Nelsen, Jane – Positive Discipline (2006), Ballantyne Books, New York. The definitive book about the discipline philosophy adopted by thousands of parents and teachers around the world. This works!

Richardson, Albert Ernest, writing as “Unknown Christian” – The Kneeling Christian, (ca. 1920-1930). An inspirational guide for Christians about prayer. This little book will change your prayer life.
